Band Boosters

Much of the credit for the continued growth and success of the Bulldog Band program must be given to the Lakeview Band Boosters. A group of enthusiastic parents and band supporters, these people give generously of their time and talents to support the band.

Karin Hudson

President

My name is Karin Hudson, this is my second year as the President of the Lakeview Band Boosters, but my seventh year being actively involved with the Lakeview band program. My husband, Mike, and I have two sons and we moved to Cortland in 2013. Mike was an active duty Marine for 21 years so our boys never got to grow roots anywhere. Once they became bulldogs we promised them they would one day be alumni! Zachary is a 2019 Lakeview graduate and was very active in the band. He loves playing his trumpet and even now, as a senior at the University of Akron, he marches with Ohio’s Pride and is a member of Blue & Gold Brass. My heart bursts every time he marches on that field being in such an amazing college band! Our youngest son, Joshua, is a sophomore on the drum line and having just as much fun as his brother did!

Mike and I were both in the band as kids (in Sandusky) and have awesome memories of that time, as well as friends we are still in touch with! Zachary still plays his dads trumpet and I played the clarinet and then moved to percussion in high school, and Joshua followed in my percussion footsteps. I was so excited for my boys to march on the field, go on band trips, make those forever friends and be part of the band family; They both love it! I am thrilled to continue to help the Bulldogs with their ‘Tradition of Excellence’ and help every band student in the band program make memories of a lifetime!

I have made some wonderful friends volunteering with this program and I continue to meet terrific parents every year as we all work toward the same goal, supporting our incredible kids as they do what they love.

Kelly Dean

Vice President

My name is Kelly Dean, and I am the current Vice President of the Lakeview Band Boosters. I have volunteered with the band off and on throughout the years. My son is a proud 2010 Graduate of Lakeview High School, and was in the band all 4 years and into college. I currently have two daughters in the band, so one could say it is now the 2nd generation of my family in band! I am thrilled that all three of my children have followed in my footsteps. I was in band from 5th grade through college, and I loved every minute of it. My current role is a new one for me, as this is my first time being on the Board. I am excited for all that is yet to come! Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. Play on Bulldogs!

Michelle Moss

Treasurer

My name is Michelle Moss. I’m a mom of 3 girls, 1 currently in band. My oldest was active in the band, and is now a music major at Slippery Rock. My girls’ love for music and great experience with our band has inspired me to become more active in the boosters. I’m so glad to be helping as it is always a good time with a bunch of laughter! Everyone is so welcoming. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!

Agnes Cluckey

Secretary

My name is Agnes Cluckey. I have been married to my husband, Brad, for almost 20 years. Brad is a Lakeview band alumnus and even before we had children we knew we wanted to raise them in the Lakeview school district. We now have 4 children; our oldest daughter is a 2021 Lakeview graduate, we have a daughter in high school and a son and a daughter at the K-8 building. So far, 3 of our children have joined Lakeview bands and all 3 of them play the saxophone, just like their father.

I have been involved with the band for 3 years as a volunteer and a band booster member. There is something so special about watching my children perform at band nights, football games and concerts. Knowing the work that goes into every performance makes me so proud of them and our entire music program.

I am proud to serve as Secretary to the Boosters and I look forward to the work that I can do to help our students and the band this school year.
