Maribeth Albu
President
I'm Maribeth Albu. My husband Tim and I have 2 children, Olivia, who is a Senior this year on clarinet and Jaxon, a Sophomore percussionist.
I have been an active band parent for years, however, this is my first year serving as President. As a Lakeview alumni, I know how valued the music program here is. I am very excited to work with the students, band directors, board members, and parents to provide the best experience for all involved. The students work so hard and deserve all the support we can provide to allow them to shine as the Musical Pride of Cortland.
Vice President
Hi, I'm Beth Petracco. I am proud to be serving my second year as Vice President. My husband, Mark, and I are parents to Nina who is a Junior member of the flute section.
For 29 years, I have been a music educator with the Nordonia Hills City Schools in Northfield, OH. Mark and I moved to Bazetta in 2012 because we valued the Lakeview Schools as an integral part of our daughter's upbringing.
I am looking forward to a great year helping the band with new and established fundraisers to continue to earn funds towards upcoming band events and activities. If you have a fundraiser you think will be beneficial to our band, please reach out I'd love to hear your idea!
Co-Treasurer
Hi. My name is Diana Cunningham. My husband and I moved to Cortland in 2006, the same year we got married. Our son Zachary is a senior and plays the trumpet.
I graduated from Struthers High School and was very involved in the band throughout my high school years. I was the Field Commander during marching band season and played flute during concert band season. My mother was treasurer of our Band Boosters, and I am honored to follow in her footsteps.
The staff, students, and families of The Lakeview Band are truly incredible, and it is my hope that I can help to make a positive difference in this wonderful organization.
Co-Treasurer
My name is Shari Sollberger. I have lived in Cortland for 10 years with my husband, Brent, and our son Mason, who plays the saxophone. I graduated from Sharpsville High School, located in Pennsylvania, where I played the flute during concert season.
I am committed to supporting the Lakeview Band and ensuring its financial health. I bring over 20 years of experience in business and finance to this role. I look forward to this next year working with my fellow board members, our dedicated staff, all of our wonderful and talented students, and their families. GO BULLDOGS!
Secretary
Hi, I’m Michelle Moss and I am the Band Booster Secretary for a second year.
This is my 9th year volunteering with the band! It is a bunch of fun and I’m thankful to have made some wonderful friends I would have never met otherwise.
I originally started by helping in the concession stand and at practices, was treasurer for 4 years and now am happy to be secretary again. I highly recommend that parents find a way to participate that works for them and you won't regret it!
I have 3 girls and my youngest, Izzy, is currently a sophomore this year playing french horn during concert season and marching mellophone, she is also looking forward to playing with the Lakeview Blues. Ella, my middle daughter, graduated in 2023 and was band president her senior year and marched snare; she is currently a bio/med student at University of Akron. My oldest, Madelyn, graduated LHS in 2021 and college in 2025 with a Music Therapy degree. She also plays in a band called Speed Limit and does solo gigs at farmers markets and private parties.
I have lived in Cortland for over 20 years with my husband John who also helps with the band. We have 3 dogs & enjoy being beekeepers. If you have any questions, just reach out! I’d love to chat about the band!
